to the within, will say that Jack Downing is my third husband. My first husband’s name was Bark Ross. We have one daughter- Nannie (Ross), now the
wife of Gus Smith of Wann, Okla.
My
second husband’s name was Sampson Boudinott and Sallie Boudinott is my daughter
by that marriage.

Susie Downing, being duly sworn, deposes and says:
My name is Susie Downing. My age is about 50 years. I live near Foyil, Oklahoma, Coo-wee-scoo-wee District. I was enrolled by the Dawes Commission, Cherokee Roll 30259. I got the bread and strip money. I get my blood from my parents, both fullbloods. Celia Tiger, after she married, or Celia Love before marriage. She has been dead about 30 years. She got money from the money. They went to Fort Gibson and got the money. My mother was not an old settler. Her people were not. Chi-coowee, was my grandmother’s name. Her husband was Sa-lo-le or Squirrel. He died in Georgia. My mother came from the East, I do not remember the year. My father was Messenger Tiger. He came from Georgia before I was born. My father certainly was Cherokee Indian. He was not Old Settler. He was Emigrant Cherokee. Oo-dee-skve, was my father’s mother. (Clun-tuche was her grandfather). Lucy Love was my mother’s sister, married Jess Henry. Another was Tarnee, she married Thomas Henry. Nancy Love married Tick-eater, and first married to Crutchfield. I had half-sisters and brothers. One sister was A-lee Muskrat. Al-kin-nee was one of my half-sisters. Ailsey Muskrat, and one brother named Watt Muskrat also. Annie Whirlwind, nee Love. My father’s brothers and sisters were: Wal-le-ah; Ka-hi-ta; Ga-doo-dah; Gu-no-weel; Mary Tyger; Redbird Tyger; Tar-che-che; O-lu Tyger. They never joined any other tribe of Indians. Dirt-thrower, and Lucretia Tyger, she married Rattlinggourd. Pelican Tyger was an uncle. Dirt-thrower’s Indian Name was Ga-doo-dah. I had a sister Nannie, and a brother named Pelican Tyger, Charlie Tyger, Lucretia Tyger. They all lived in Going Snake or Flint.
